The team at York Museums Trust are really looking forward to welcoming you back to the beautiful award-winning York Museum Gardens to enjoy the beautiful open space within the heart of the city.

The gardens are registered botanical gardens, not a city park, which require high levels of maintenance and security because of the plants and trees, Scheduled Monuments and Listed buildings within them. During the lockdown closure, a small team have continued to maintain the gardens and have worked hard to reopen these beautiful gardens for you to enjoy in full summer bloom.
